@Galaxy S23 Series Receives 2X Zoom Option in Portrait Mode After June 2023 Security Update
There's a new zoom option while taking photos in Portrait mode on the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. ~~~~~ Hi! You could use choose to not zoom into the subject at all, and leave it at 1X, but you could also get a closer image by zooming in with 3x magnification. The differences between 1x and 3x were quite drastic though, with many feeling that 3x brought you in too close. Thankfully, there's a new option for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra while using the Portrait Mode feature. The new addition seems small, but so far it's received a lot of praise. Now, when you switch to this mode, you're still given the choice of using 1x or 3x. . .but there's a new 2x option as well. I'm actually surprised that it took Samsung this long to add this as an option in their stock camera application and even more surprised that it wasn't added with an update to the Camera app itself. This new feature is available after you install the June 2023 security update. You can get this feature by installing the new OTA update when it becomes available to you. I have read this update has been released in select asian countries and throughout europe, and should make its way to other regions in the coming days and weeks. I know that some people are wanting to get the new monthly update as soon as possible, while others are having trouble using the built-in updater. So I am working on a new tutorial that shows how to manually install these OTA updates with a program called Odin, instead of going through the Settings app and doing it that way. Since many times it takes a few weeks before new updates are available through the built-in updater. . .and depending on which carrier you have. . .there are cases where devices are never sent new updates due to SIM card issues. Using Odin to install these monthly updates is a way to get them right when they are available. I also want to remind everyone that I have a website that highlights the best application sales and game sales available for Android. Every weekday I sift through all of the discounted apps and games and publish the best ones here. You can find this website at PlayStoreSales.com and then dive into the section that you like best. So if you're not big into mobile gaming then you can just look at the application sales. For those of you who do enjoy playing games on your smartphone or tablet, there's a dedicated section for Android game sales. There's also a category for people who are wanting to get premium apps and games that can be downloaded for free. I recently worked on an All Sales page to give you a compact view of both app and games sales that are happening in the Google Play Store right now. So I would really appreciate it if you checked out the website. It's something I've been working on it since 2015 and recently gave it a big redesign to give it a more modern look.
