It doesn't matter if you own the brand new Galaxy S24 or an older mid-range phone with One UI. Samsung has a feature called Pop-Up View that lets you bring apps anywhere. Most Android devices are shipping with a Split Screen feature these days, but Samsung has a history of adding in extra features that you don't see in other smartphones. We access the floating feature in the same way, but instead of selecting Split Screen View, we tap the Pop-Up View option instead. You are able to move the floating window around by tapping and dragging on the line at the top here. But if you have difficulty selecting it then you can just do a quick tap here. Tap the header bar icon here, and then you have a much bigger area that you can tap and drag around. - The icon with the inward arrows will minimize the application so that it's just a floating icon. And it will still float around on your screen like a chat bubble. - The icon with the outward arrows will maximize your application so that it expands to the entire screen. - And naturally, the X will close out of the application for you. - Tapping the 3-dot menu icon allows us to have access to some extra features. - Including a Split Screen shortcut which will take this floating window and use it as the top of a split screen setup. - And there's an opacity slider here as well, for those times when you may need to see behind the floating window itself. You can see all of this will work with a file manager application like Solid Explorer, but it is likely to work with your file explorer of choice as well. We can use this with the Calculator app too, so we aren't forced to switch back and forth between two applications. Or you can have a chat application in the background while you scroll through Reddit or Instagram in Pop-Up View mode. Multi-tasking on an Android device can feel clunky at times but Samsung Galaxy OneUI features like this definitely help to improve things. Step by Step Tutorial ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. Intro [00:00] 2.
