And welcome to another edition of the Android News Byte. Today we have images, specs, and additional details about four new OnePlus devices that are slated to be announced July 16th. Next week, OnePlus is hosting what they are calling their Summer Launch Event. We've known the company has been planning to release some new hardware but it wasn't until now that we found out this much about them. First up we have the highly anticipated OnePlus Nord 4 and right off the bat we're learning that it will be constructed with metal. This is quite the surprise as it's usually not something we see in mid-range devices these days. OnePlus is said to be launching the Nord 4 in three different color options, including Black, Mint, and a White/Silver combo. The device is reported to have a 6.74-inch 1.5K OLED display that has a refresh rate of 120Hz. Inside, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. And it will be kept alive with a 5,500mAh battery that can be charged at 100W. On the back, we see it will have a 50MP primary camera sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide. While the front will be equipped with a 16MP selfie camera. Fans of the alert slider will be happy to see that will be included in the OnePlus Nord 4, so no need to worry there. The OnePlus Nord 4 is expected to be launched on July 16th, but early reports claim that those of us in the United States should not expect to see it launched here. Although, getting the device imported via a 3rd-party marketplace like eBay shouldn't be difficult at all. ------------ Next up we have leaked details of the OnePlus Watch 2R. Thanks to these images, we can see the smartwatch will look quite similar to the OnePlus Watch 2. But we can expect the OnePlus Watch 2R to be much more affordable. Some suspect it could be priced around $199, so keep an eye out for that on July 16th for more details. ----------- The company is also expected to launch a new tablet, which is said to be called the OnePlus Pad 2. Again, the company doesn't seem to be changing up their design for this form factor. Which isn't really a bad thing when it comes to tablets. Especially one that was so well reviewed like the original OnePlus Pad. Inside the OnePlus Pad 2, we're expecting to see it powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm. We'll have the choice between 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB of storage. . .or 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB of storage. On the front it will be sporting a 12.1" LCD panel capable of 144Hz refresh rate, and it will have an impressive 900 nits of peak brightness for outdoor usage. The battery within the OnePlus Pad 2 is said to be nice as well, coming in at 9,510mAh and should support charging speeds as fast as 67W. -------------- Last up, we have a look at the upcoming OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro that will also be announced on July 16th. This is something the company is really excited about as they have been teasing it will be “the pinnacle of mid-range ANC earbuds”. We're expecting these to be available in two different color options, mint and black. And some believe these will be included for free as a bonus for those who buy the OnePlus Nord 4 at launch. Sadly, there aren't any details about the specs. . .or the individual price. But again, we'll find out more next week when the company reveals all of these details to the world. ----------- Let me know if you're interested in any of these products as I'm curious what people think about OnePlus hardware these days. I haven't used a one of their phones since the OnePlus 3, but I have heard some great things about the Nord series. So share your thoughts of these four products down in the comments section below.
