Personally, I am a big fan of gestures on Android, so having this feature active, rather than needing to locate the Power button is something I prefer. Sadly, this feature is not enabled by default on HyperOS with the Redmi Note 13, but I can show you how to enable it for all of the devcies in this series. double tap to wake/sleep We start by first launching the Settings application Then you will want to locate the Lock Screen menu from this page here. And then up here toward the top, you should see a toggle for the Double Tap to Wake feature This is combined with the double tap to sleep gesture, that will work on the lock screen to turn the display off. This toggle is going to be disabled by default, but you can turn it on really easily right here. That way, when the phone is locked and the screen is off, you can check the lock screen by tapping on the display twice. And while you're viewing the lock screen, you can turn the screen off by doing that same double tap gesture You should have this option available to you whether you own the Redmi Note 13 Pro, like I have, or any of the other devices in the series including the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, Redmi Note 13R, and the Redmi Note 13 4G. This will even be possible with the base model as well. conclusion I would rather see launcher itself have the option to double tap on the home screen to lock the device Instead of having this feature only available on the lock screen. But sadly, HyperOS doesn't offer this with their stock home screen launcher At least not with this version of HyperOS. We do know that Xiaomi is working on version 2.0 of the firmware though, so maybe it will be made available in that firmware update. Until then, you would need to swap to a custom launcher that offers the feature. Let me know if you ran into any issues with this guide. . .or if you're having any trouble with this double-tap gesture in general And please, do not forget to like this video while also subscribing to the channel for more Redmi Note 13 tips like this.
