@How to Bypass the Select a Mii Screen with Mario Kart 8 on Yuzu for Android
If you want to play Mario Kart 8 on Android with Yuzu then you need to follow these steps to get past the Mii Select screen. ~~~~~ Hi! But the default way Yuzu is setup doesn't allow this because there isn't any save data in the folder when we install Yuzu on Android. But thankfully this is easy to fix. The first thing we need to do is download a ZIP file that contains the data we need for a proper save file in Mario Kart 8 on the Nintendo Switch. I'll be sure to include a download link to this file down in the video description below. The files inside of this archive that we just downloaded need to be put into a specific directory. But around Android 11, Google implemented a protection layer that blocked access to certain data files. My file explorer app of choice, Solid Explorer, added support for this new change, but some did not. I know that Solid Explorer and X-Plore File Manager were both updated to support this change so you can find links to both of these apps down below the video as well, for those who don't have a file explorer that has been updated yet. Once that has been downloaded, we either need to extract the files inside it. . .or if your file explorer application supports it, then we can to go into the ZIP file and copy all of these files to our clipboard. Now, these files need to be put into a very specific directory. . . /internal/android/data/[yuzu folder]/files/nand/system/contents/registered/ Just paste the files here, and then Yuzu should be able to play Mario Kart 8 properly. Let's force close the app from memory and load it up again. As you can see, we no longer get a blank Mii Select screen like we did before. Instead, there are a number of pre-set Miis for us to pick from, and once we choose which one to represent us, we can begin to play Mario Kart 8. I've had a really positive experience playing Mario Kart 8 on Android with the Yuzu emulator. Performance has been pretty good so far, with the game hitting 60FPS pretty consistently.
