Hurricane preparedness needs to be taken into consideration when designing and building acuaculture facilities, when installing back up systems, and when preparing for an approaching hurricane or tropical storm. This video provides first-hand practical advice from research organizations and commercial ventures that went through the Florida hurricanes of 2004 and 2005. This video was produced in 2007 by Florida Atlantic University Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute with funding from Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Aquaculture and the Florida Aquaculture Specialty License Plate granted through the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Foundation. Special thanks to the Florida aquaculturists that participated in this production.
