Tenía tanta ternura, amor y caridad en su alma, que acabó convirtiéndose en santo”. “San Nicolás sabía siempre quién necesitaba su ayuda. Una vez, para ayudar a tres hermanas con muchos problemas, deslizó por la chimenea de su casa monedas de oro, que cayeron dentro de los calcetines de las jóvenes, los cuales estaban allí colgados para secarse al calor del fuego…” …, y así comienza la historia de Santa Claus, el personaje que según la cultura occidental trae regalos a los niños por Navidad. El autor ha querido narrar, literaria y musicalmente, toda la historia real de Santa Claus desembocando posteriormente en la realidad de nuestros días; a ese día esperado por todos los niños, el día 24 o 25 de Diciembre cuando llega “Papa Noel” a todas las casas del mundo para repartir los regalos. Esta composición se estrenó el día 22 de diciembre de 2019, en el Auditorio Municipal de Cullera (Valencia, España) por la banda sinfónica “Ateneo Musical” de Cullera, dirigiendo su titular, Ferrer Ferran, el autor. Dedicatoria: “Para que los niños y los no tan niños jamás dejen de soñar y de creer en la magia de la Navidad, esa magia de ilusión y alegría que nos dan estas fechas navideñas”. ---------------- “Nicholas was born many years ago. When he grew up, he became a generous and good man who always helped others. His soul was so tender, loving and charitable that he ended up becoming a saint”. “Saint Nicholas always knew who needed his help. Once, he slid down gold coins through the chimney of three troubled sisters’ house. The coins fell into the young women’s socks which were hanging close to the heat of the fire to be dried…” This is how Santa Claus story begins. According to Western culture, Santa Claus is the character who always brings presents to children for Christmas. The author of this composition wanted to narrate, literally and musically, Santa Claus’ real story and the present days when he arrives at every house in the world, the awaited 24th or 25th of December, to bring gifts to children. This composition premiered on the 22th of December 2019, at the Municipal Auditorium in Cullera, Valencia (Spain) by the Symphony Wind Orchestra “Ateneo Musical” of Cullera, conducted by the composer, Ferrer Ferran.
