Ground liquefaction occurring in Urayasu city (Footage provided by viewer) The Japanese text is followed by an English translation. 大地震の直後、千葉・浦安市で発生した液状化現象の様子を捉えた映像。 浦安市の東京湾に面する高洲付近にて撮影。 余震が続く中、工場地帯を貫く道路沿い。舗道の植え込みが揺らぎ、じわじわと灰色の液体が流れ出す。 目を転じれば、数百メートル先まで連動して地面が揺れ、水が、いたるところからあふれ出している状態に。 地面すれすれの高さから、道路に面する緑地帯を接写すると、緑地帯を囲う低壁が基礎ごと大きく揺らいでいるのがわかる。 中央分離帯からも、電柱の根元からも、アスファルトの亀裂や縁石の隙間からも、不気味な音を立てて、濁流が噴出する。 さらに海岸近くでは、地盤のもろさを露呈するように、地面そのものが柔らかく揺れ、わき出た水も、それと一体になって波打つ。 海岸ごく間近の浦安南高校では、校舎の基礎部分がむき出しとなり、校庭一面が水浸しの状態となっていた。 Footage: Capture of ground liquefaction occurring in Urayasu city, Chiba prefecture immediately after the great earthquake. Amid the aftershocks, shrubs on the pavement sway and grey liquids gradually flow out alongside the road that runs through the factory district. Looking away, the ground is shaking simultaneously up ahead a few hundred meters, and water is flowing out from everywhere. Taking a close-up shot of the greenbelt from the surface of the ground, one can witness that the low wall that surrounds the greenbelt is shaking greatly from the base of its foundation. Uncanny sounds are heard as muddy streams well out from the central divider, root of an electric pole, cracks of asphalt and gaps within the curbstone. Additionally, near the coast, the ground itself is swaying softly, exposing the fragility of its foundation. Water that sprung out becomes a part of it and together they form waves.
