In Vaikom we started off with shikara boating and then coconut grove experience with toddy tapping. After enjoying the coconut wine, on a speed boat we sailed to the middle of Vembanad lake where we too tried our hands on collecting shells from the fresh water. It was only a beginning... we bought some fish from the boat and deep fried it in Vaikom before enjoying a banana leaf meals in that Kerala Village. After our Kerala style banana leaf meals, we went on for a village experience tour. This time we met with villagers who spun coir and mats, we also met a village potter who guided us to make small pots. Yet what we enjoyed the most was the canoeing experience in the narrow canals.
