Reports have suggested that United have offered around £70 million ($88m) for the boyhood United fan, but the Foxes board are hoping to attract an offer in excess of £80m ($100m) in order to allow Maguire to depart. But Maguire is now welcoming the chance to join the club and is said to be flattered by the thought of spearheading Solskjaer's defensive ranks. Solskjaer has plenty of alternatives already available in the heart of their defence, with Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Axel Tuanzebe among their centre-back options. But the United boss wants to increase the quality of his choices in the centre, and Maguire is his number-one target.
