FOX NASHVILLE's video: COVID-19 survivor loses her mom aunt and brother to virus

This will always be a bright moment for Tammy Epperson and her family: The last time they saw their mom Erma Turner smiling and celebrating another year of life. But this weekend, the family will gather for a funeral instead of a party. “She went in just feeling weak in the hospital and she called and said she had COVID-19,” said Epperson. Turner got sick with the virus. Weeks later, her sister and son living with her also got sick. Within three weeks, they were all gone. Epperson says so was her joy. “It wasn’t time for my Mom to go. It wasn’t time. It wasn’t time for my aunt to go. It wasn’t time for my brother to go,” she said.
