The GT2 Pro is Realme's early-2022 flagship smartphone, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and up to 12GB of RAM. It is slated to launch in Europe soon; however, a blog now purports to spill the prices to be unveiled during that event in advance. They potentially point to marked affordability for these specs, only beaten in this respect by the phone's vanilla GT2 sibling. Realme has announced that it will hold a global launch for the GT2 series during its upcoming MWC 2022 showcase. Obviously, the OEM would prefer to keep its fans in suspense on the subject of what these new phones will cost quiet until then - however, according to the blog DealnTech, it has failed in this mission. The site claims to have laid hands on a screenshot from a retailer that outlines GT2-series prices in euros for the first time. This is shaping up to be a relatively attractive price, particularly as the closely-competing Galaxy S22 (which does not share the GT2 Pro's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform in the same region) currently starts at €849 (~$966). Furthermore, that Samsung base-model flagship goes in an 8GB RAM/128GB configuration at that price, whereas the GT2 Pro's allegedly leaked price corresponds to a 12GB/256GB SKU by contrast. Furthermore, the E5 AMOLED-equipped GT2 Pro will apparently ship in its all-new, "eco-friendly" special-edition Paper Green and White colorways (with the more conventional Steel Black as an alternative) for that price. Meanwhile, this retailer will also reportedly stock the GT2 - which has many specs in common with its Pro counterpart, although it runs on the sub-premium Snapdragon 870 SoC - starting at €539 (~$616) for an 8GB/128GB entry-level unit, or €589 (~$669) for one with double the internal storage. Therefore, the GT2 series is, like its predecessor, shaping up to be an affordable option for those on the hunt for new or new-ish Qualcomm mobile silicon in 2022 Europe. On the other hand, DealnTech leaves a number of potentially validating details out of this leak, chief among which is the name of the alleged seller in question.
