After its spectacular flights over London, Paris, Cologne and Dubai the Freedom eagles have yet again taken to the air and embarked on a new challenge. Between August 26th-29th a white-tailed eagle and a bald eagle, both fitted with a Sony Action Cam Mini, flew over the Mont Blanc massif, capturing never-before seen, unique footage during the most difficult foot race in Europe, the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®. In collaboration with Columbia Sportswear, a Freedom Conservation and UTMB® partner, the eagle recorded a superb bird's eye perspective of the trail runners tackling one of the most renowned single-stage mountain ultra-marathons, which stretches over 170 km across Switzerland, Italy and France, with the 4.810 meter Mont Blanc as one of the most iconic background settings.
