As part of a larger animal conservation project, "freedom, an eagle takes flight" is an wildlife fictional documentary, This is the story of an unlikely encounter between ROÏ the last White-tailed Eagle in the wild living in the Alps and KAABA a bird of the same species that has spent most of its life captive. ROÏ shares the magic of his majestic flights but also the harsh realities of its lonely existence. KAABA, with the help of one man who is going to change her destiny, undergoes an astonishing learning process on the way to Freedom. Gradually both birds will meet in the wild, get to know each other, learn from one another and combine their innate and acquired skills to create a unique bond for generations… In this film, new shooting techniques have been used to capture unprecedented shots of the birds’ flights and in action, providing a genuine immersive experience for the audience as rarely seen on camera, literally flying on the wings of the birds. It is also a tale of our times about living in the Wild, an ode to freedom, conveyed through the most spectacular aerial imagery. Co-written and directed by J.O. Travers and Muriel Barra. Ce géant, appelé Pygargue à queue blanche, a disparu de notre ciel en 1959, victime de la folie des hommes. Il a mis au point une technique qui devrait s’avérer très précieuse pour les programmes de réintroduction à venir. Le principe est simple: il s‘agit de rendre la liberté à des couples d’aigles adultes, nés en captivité, après leur avoir appris à voler et à chasser. Ce projet innovant combine un volet Cinéma et TV, avec la réalisation du film « FREEDOM – l’envol d’un aigle » , l'organisation de plusieurs événements d'envergure internationale ainsi qu’un volet scientifique et éducatif associé à la création du plus grand centre européen de reproduction de l'aigle pêcheur à Sciez (Haute Savoie). Un programme qui contribue aux efforts de conservation de la vie sauvage à travers le monde et qui est porté par une belle histoire dans laquelle chacun de nous pourra se retrouver.
