Nations all over the world are trying to tackle the spread of the new coronavirus(2019-nCov) which is believed to have originated in a seafood market in the city of Wuhan, China around the month of december last year. Since then the number of cases skyrocketed across china with fatalities reported across all the provinces mainly in the province of Hubei which is the center of the outbreak. The world health organization(WHO) named the disease caused by this coronavirus as COVID-19 and declared the outbreak as a global health emergency and raised the risk factor to very high. Even though fatality rate is at 1%, the rate at which the virus is spreading is concerning, The incubation period is unknown and the virus is known to have been spreading even before the infected person developed any symptoms. The common symptoms of the virus include….cough, fever, respiratory illness, those with the underlying medical conditions are more vulnerable to the virus. Many governments are stepping up efforts to contain the outbreak, many events and public gatherings are cancelled across the world. Currently, the infection seems to be in control in china but new hotspots are developed in many countries. Outside China, South korea, Italy, iran have seen a rise in infections and are struggling to contain the outbreak.
