It's got an enormous power and presence, but is equally intimidating and gentle in nature. The Gypsy Vanner is as romantic as its appearance. This horse was originally bred by the Romani people in Great Britain and Ireland, more commonly known as Gypsy travellers. The nomadic Romani wished to breed the ideal caravan horse that would suit their wandering lifestyle. The horse had to be strong enough to pull their heavy wagons––which functioned as portable houses––and needed the mental toughness to endure a life on the road without shelter or food for longer periods of time. The primary breeds that went into creating the Gypsy Vanner Horse were the Shire horse, Clydesdale and Dales Pony. The Vanner also had to be even-tempered enough to be safely-handled, even by children. All this and more went into creating a dependable breed which, nowadays, is mostly admired for its flashy, eye-catching coat; an abundance of flowing mane; a gorgeous tail, and feathered legs that make it uniquely stunning. Now if the Gypsy Vanner took your breath away, just wait until you see the golden horse breed at number 1! Number 8 Marwari The Marwari is a rare breed of horse from the Marwar region of North-Western India that’s known for having a far slimmer, more aesthetic build than most horses and a unique set of inward-turning ear tips. This exotic breed is in fact known for its exceptional hearing! Owning a Marwari was once only the privilege of Indian royalty and nobility. The horses were treated as part of the family, often wearing textiles adorned with jewels. They were also valued warhorses due to their bravery and remarkable ability to find their way home. Today, the Marwari is a very athletic horse that performs well in most English disciplines including polo. Number 8 Andalusian The Andalusian is a beautiful breed from Spain that is said to be the grandfather of all modern horse breeds since it has a direct or indirect genetic influence on almost all breeds known today. These gorgeous horses traveled on the ships of the conquistadors to the New World where some of them escaped and became today’s wild Mustangs. Those that remained within human possession have retained their unique baroque appearance since the 15th century thanks to highly strict selection criteria. Historically, Andalusians were often used for bullfighting and still are today in certain parts of Spain. But better known for their smooth and graceful trot, these horses are also a go-to breed for classical dressage and filmmaking too. Similarly to Friesians, these noble horses have long, thick manes and tails which makes them truly a sight to behold. ► Subscribe For New Videos! ► https://goo.gl/XPOHAZ Follow Us On Social Media Twitter https://twitter.com/FactsJunkieYT Facebook https://www.facebook.com/FactsJunkieYT ► For copyright issues, send us an email at : factsjunkie@gmail.com
