Are you an architect or engineer that likes to heavily customize your design programs? Have you updated to a newer version of Revit but the addins that you like to use are unavailable for that particular year? Then this tutorial shows you how to edit the basic configuration file(s) so that it should work for any version. This type of low-level hacking can also be used to get customized addins/extensions/plugins to work for all sorts of programs, such as SketchUp or Adobe Suite (though don't, like, break the law or anything). Most addins for revit install in the following folder: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins
