"The more I looked at the changes that started in 2012, almost a hockey stick type graph of depression, anxiety and self-harm, especially with young women... it became very clear that something was wrong, something was broken... And that's when I just felt passionately that we needed to do something. We can't just stand by and watch this happening. If these were cancer deaths, we would be losing our minds trying to figure out what was causing this. If vehicular deaths went up 300% in a few years, we would move heaven and earth to change that."
