Did you know that one machinist will never sew a garment from start to finish?🏭 Whether we’re in the Fashion Studio or the factory, one machinist usually carries out one specific job in batches to then be passed down the production line for the next part of the garment to be sewn or assembled. Why do we do this? Two reasons: 1. Quality. If one machinist continues to sew one section over and over again, they will be able to perfect their task and improve the overall construction of the garment, improving its quality. 2. Speed. Again, if one machinist continues to sew one section continuously, they will become more accustomed to the task and be able to carry out their section at a higher speed. There is only one place in the factory where one machinist may work on a garment from start to finish, which is the @unitedrepaircentre London.
