The UTC cheerleading squad, including the mascot, Scrappy, is a group of male and female UTC students. They divide up into an all female squad and a co-ed squad to cheer at different sporting events. The squads lead the fans and cheer on the Mocs at football, basketball, and other sporting events on campus, as well as performing at other special events during the year. We recently had the opportunity to follow them through their preparation for the UCA College National Championships in Orlando, FL. This was the first University of Tennessee-Chattanooga squad to compete at Nationals, expect big things from this program in the future!!
