Ferroequinology's video: Straining Grand Trunk Local Train 2018

@Straining Grand Trunk Local Train (2018)
Filmed on April 4, 2018 These local trains are a rare and exciting catch among the many larger mainline freight trains that CN runs on this line. This is the longest local yet at 11 cars, and you can hear this old Grand Trunk GP38-2 straining with the load as it accelerates from a dead stop, northbound at the Barrington diamond. (This is the old EJ&E line). I could hear the sound of the engine echoing in the distance for a few minutes after the train passed. And yes, this engine is in the original paint scheme! CN has acquired many railroads over the years; Grand Trunk, EJ&E, Illinois Central, BC Rail, and others. Many of these engines have not been repainted, and they're always amazing to see. Take a close look at the second-to-last tanker and you'll notice it's like nothing else you may have seen before. It appears to be divided into 4 separate compartments, which alternate between 1110 and 2302. This is the first time I've heard of a "less than carload" tanker. 4921-11
