Susan Lim's video: Easy Breathing Technique to Reduce Stress Balance Hormones

@Easy Breathing Technique to Reduce Stress & Balance Hormones
Hey guys! Check out this series of 30 fertility boosting, trying to conceive videos, posted in 30 days! Diaphragmatic breathing, or deep breathing, is breathing that is done by contracting the diaphragm, a muscle located horizontally between the thoracic cavity and abdominal cavity. Air enters the lungs, the chest does not rise and the belly expands during this type of breathing. One of the biggest benefits of diaphragmatic breathing is reducing stress. It helps you relax, lowering the harmful effects of the stress hormone cortisol on your body. Here are few other things it can do: - lowers your heart rate. - helps lower your blood pressure. - helps you cope with the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). - improves your core muscle stability. - improves your body’s ability to tolerate intense exercise. - lowers your chances of injuring or wearing out your muscles. - slows your rate of breathing so that it expends less energy.
