OR EVEN 40?! Will this have an affect on your chances of conceiving? What are some things that may be causing you to ovulate so late? In this video I answer all of these questions. Another way of looking at your "late ovulation" is that you have a long follicular phase. You can break your cycle into two main parts: the follicular phase and the luteal phase. Generally your luteal phase will always be 10-16 days in length no matter the length of your cycle, and so if you have a long or short cycle it is the FOLLICULAR PHASE of your cycle that is either "long" or "short". Watch this video to learn 6 reasons why your follicular phase may be long. If you ovulate late will this have a negative impact on your fertility or chances of getting pregnant? The short answer is NO- whether you ovulate on day 14 or 44, ovulation is ovulation! If there is an egg being ovulated then it's possible for it to be fertilized. The only thing that can be tricky with late ovulation is predicting when you ovulate.
