This was shot on an iPhone 5C and no editing software was used. The file size was around 1.5GB so YouTube makes it smaller hence the drop in quality. I am a YouTube amateur so if anyone has suggestions on how they shoot videos for YouTube be sure to share! - I believe this is the first ever YouTube video for this set…amazing given it is one of the best sets Lego released! THE SET - Set Number: 6273 - Name: Rock Island Refuge / Port Jamaica - Released: 1991 - Pieces: 381 - Minifigures: 7 (5 pirates, 2 blue coat imperial soldiers) - monkey, parrot and shark - Original RRP: $66 USD * Source: http://brickset.com/sets/6273-1/Rock-Island-Refuge Parts list: http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6273-1 Instructions: http://www.peeron.com/scans/6273-1/ COST COMPARISON - below compares the Cost Per Piece of some of the larger Lego Pirate Sets. I would suggest it is a combination of a) Lego has more competition with other 'Lego copy-cat' makers (toys different, but similar to Lego) and also other things kids play with these days (Eg Nintendo DS, iPad?, other figurines etc,), and b) Lego have cut costs over time using in-house knowledge and making use of improvements in technology (manufacturing processes, marketing online (e.g. online vs printed catalogues) etc I wonder why this set was so expensive compared to other Pirate Lego?
