Vor rund 2000 Zuschauern fand die Prämierung des achten Strohskulpturenwettbewerbs der Gemeinde Höchenschwand statt. Mit einem denkbar knappen Stimmenvorsprung von nur sechs Stimmen belegte dabei das "Stille Örtchen" der Trachtenkapelle Amrigschwand-Tiefenhäusern den ersten Platz (2281 Stimmen) Es folgten die "Schwarzwälder Klopfsäge" des Zapfwellenvereins (2275 Stimmen) und das "Karussell" der Landfrauen vom Höchenschwanderberg (1718 Stimmen). Rund 30 000 Besucher hätten in den vergangenen drei Wochen das Ausstellungsgelände besucht, schätzte der Bürgermeister.
