On October 19, 2010 an upper level cutoff low pressure system moved across southern California giving us a rare glimpse at some reasonably strong (and some severe) thunderstorms across much of the area. Rainfall rates were through the roof and the number of lightning strikes across the southland was insane! SPC had issued a 2% tornado probability on the day, however no waterspouts or tornadoes were reported. Some storms did however show signs of mild rotation!
