Filming Nature's Extremes's video: The California Ebony Tarantula

@The California Ebony Tarantula
Watch in High Definition for the Best Quality! Featured here is a medium sized Tarantula found wandering the grasslands behind my Southern California residence. This venomous species of arachnid is typically very non-aggressive towards humans, though it will strike with it's two front claw-like fangs if provoked. While still venomous, the species of Tarantula native to the New World are not deadly to humans. It's bite is said to be no worse than an intense wasp sting, but it is quite effective on subduing it's prey, which consists of small insects, lizards, frogs, snakes, and mice. The male Tarantula is often found wandering the desert floor in search of a female mate (who is more often than not camped inside a silk-lined hole, waiting to catch it's prey). Thanks for watching!
