@MEETING LESS JUNK, MORE JOURNEY AND KEEP YOUR DAYDREAM IN ALASKA | REAR AXLE ISSUES S2 || Ep 25
Social Media tags for all the traveling families we met in this episode: @lessjunkmorejourney @keepyourdaydream @justrolandwithit @ouradventuringlife @13roads @alltheplacestogo @chasetheskytravelers We arrive back in Anchorage for our appointment to have the rear axle tires changed on the RV since they are wearing badly on the inside. After contacting Grand Design about the issue, they ask us to take measurements and send photos of the axle and tires. We head to Cabela’s for the Less Junk, More Journey and Keep Your Daydream meet-up and connect with other full-time families, JustRoldandWithIt and OurAdventuringLife, as well. We get the tires replaced on the RV and the truck tires rotated at Alaska Tire and go see a movie with Nathan, Marissa and Hensley and Marc and Caleb. Since we wanted to explore more of Homer, we head back down to Mariner’s Park Campground. Nathan and Marissa got there first and save us a spot! John and Whitney from @justrolandwithit joined Nathan and Marissa and us as we took the church boat across the bay to our friends’, the Callahan’s, church that we attended the week before. The Little Tutka Bay Bible Fellowship provides transportation to and from church as well as a beautiful place for a picnic lunch after the service! We spend the rest of the week hanging out at the campground relaxing and resting and enjoying the beach and new friends. 5 other full-time families joined us at the campground during our time there: @lessjunkmorejourney, @justrolandwithit, @fumminsfamily, @13roads, @alltheplacestogo, and @chasetheskytravelers. Our kids all played together, we shared meals, sat by fires, watched the bald eagles and enjoyed the beach for 9 days. We also ride our bikes down the spit to check out the quaint little shops and get some delicious food! We leave Homer to head to the Russian River. On our way, we stop to get some donuts at the Moose is Loose! We squeeze both of our rigs into a double site and head out on a hike down the Russian River to find some bears. The next day we check out Cooper Landing and say goodbye to Nathan and Marissa and Marissa’s sister. Stay tuned for next week’s episode where we head to Seward and hike Exit Glacier!
