A wave maker installed in an Aquarium works as underwater fan that will push water away from itself from one end and pull water towards itself from another end. Wave maker creates a circular vortex in an aquarium which helps keep water constantly moving. Wave maker is a must for marine tanks and certain species of Cichlids enjoy the currents as it closely matches their natural habitat. A wave maker also help in keeping waste and debris from getting stuck or trapped in a dead spot in your tank. If position on the same side as filter inlet and face upwards 'towards the surface of water', wave maker will bring all the biological waste towards the filter inlet. Thank you
