@Why Your Body isn't Growing
Here are top reasons why you’re not growing like The Hodgkin Twins! Get bigger, stronger, and faster! Learn how to get a bigger chest, stronger muscles, and overall better fitness!! Do NOT go to the gym until you watch this video! Watch the "Essentials of Strengthbuilding" video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfFKQcWH6CA Watch the "Top 6 Facts You Didn't Know About Testosterone" video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Lvkg5vAtzk Subscribe for the latest videos on Health&Fitness: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-oLwathi-HxClkN82VP7Mw?sub_confirmation=1 – You’re overtraining!! Your training load is exceeding your recovery capacity!! This is one of the last things that actually affect people, because most people really know hard work. But signs of overtraining is soreness after 72 hours, you’re consistently tired, you quote unquote can’t skip a workout, and depression!! You’re supposed to feel good and be happy from your workouts, not the other way around. You need your rest, and your body needs to recover. If this is you, congrats, you know how to bust your ass, but at the same time, you need to have a little more balance. Take a week off, stop working out everyday, and stop with the 5 hour workouts!! – You’re not getting enough sleep. This goes back to my video on essentials of strength building, click here to watch the video!! Getting your sleep is essential for recovery!! You spend time to tear your body down; you need to give it time to build itself back up!! Sleep is when your body releases the most growth hormones!! A good goal to aim for is 6-8 hours; it depends on what you need!! The QUALITY of sleep is important as well; you want to sleep in a cool dark room with a regular cycle so you won’t mess up your circadian rhythm!! I understand that everyone is busy these days, but you want to get bigger, so do more of what you love to do anyways!! – You haven’t switched up your workouts You should be doing quote unquote crazy shit to shock your body into growth. This typically affects the seasoned lifter. If you’ve been weightlifting, and you’ve been doing the same routine, start adding different movements in there. The point is to keep your body guessing. There are a lot of different ways of doing this. Do dropsets, supersets, do 50 sets of say, deadlifts. Something you’ve never done before. Your body adapts to all sort of stress, and when things become EASY, that’s when you’re not going through growth. If you only lift weights, do some yoga and Pilates to get more flexible. If you only run on the treadmill, go on a bike ride outside. Shock your body!! – You’re not eating right!!! This really should be 1a. You’re not eating enough calories. Or you’re not eating enough carbs. I see a lot of guys that lift hard, but they just don’t get enough to eat. YOU NEED TO EAT!!! Get a log, and write down everything you eat. Find out what you’re eating, and write it all down. Find out all your calories and macronutrients that you’re intaking. And note whether you’re getting bigger. If not, try to add 10% more calories and see what happens. For example, if you find out you eat 2500 calories a day, and you’re not growing, start eating 2750 calories a day and gain weight that way. Don’t be stupid and eat as much as possible, putting on sloppy weight. You’re just making things harder for you when you have to get rid of the fat. – You’re not working hard enough. Yes, you’re not putting in enough hard work. This is probably the thing I see; this affects beginners the most. You come up with a fitness plan, but you’re just not executing. You come up with sets, and reps, but you STOP before the real work begins, which is at the end of the set. You do the number of reps you’ve written down, but you can do more. That’s an issue right there. You need to push your body to growth by training to failure. And by failure I mean you literally cannot do another rep. You need to signal to your body you NEED new muscles to push that weight!! If not, you’re just showing up and literally moving.
