This temple is located in remote tribal village called Thootigunta of West Godavari District. The temple is built during 11th century having more than 900+ years history. Present no one cares about this ancient temple, daily rituals are also not performed here. Once in a year on Maha Siva Ratri local people offer prayers here. You can see ancient temple pillars and walls covered in sand around the premises. The vistas around this temple is so beautiful with River Godavari & Papi Kondalu. Once Polavaram project get completes this temple will get submerged in backwaters of the project. Hope Government / some temple board / NGO's relocate this temple and protect its long history.
