You can see Florida from here! Seriously. We were surprised on our visit to Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge to discover that a portion of the refuge lies in Florida. We're claiming it for our own, since it's an easy drive from Jacksonville. At the tower at the end of the Chesser Island Boardwalk, you can see across the state line, not that it's drawn over the quaking earth. Baby alligators were also a highlight of this accessible boardwalk, but bring plenty of mosquito repellent!
