Floridian Elevators's video: 1ST GEN DIGITAL INDICATORS Otis Lexan Elevators at 1102 Commerce St in Tacoma WA

Filmed on January 4th, 2023 with ‎@WestCoastElevators . Now THIS was an INCREDIBLE & VERY RARE Find! Now, before anyone goes, no Lexan isn't THAT RARE (unless you're in Florida lol), however to find a Original Lexan with THIS Indicator certainly is! This is MY VERY FIRST Otis Lexan I've ever been on with WORKING Door Jam Mounted DIGITAL INDICATORS! This is technically not the first elevator I've rode with this indicator, The Boardwalk in Myrtle Beach was, however the indicator on that elevator wasn't working. This ONE however IS still working, and I am SO HAPPY I FINALLY got to ride one of these, and it's working very well at that! The Indicator these elevators feature is the VERY FIRST DIGITAL Indicator to have EVER been used on ANY Elevator, and I'm sure back when these were new people looked at them in awe. And as for these elevators in particular, not only are the indicators in excellent shape, but so are the elevators as a whole. I LOVE the Lexan fixtures! It is too bad the call stations were replaced, but as I always say, even if you THINK something is modernized, ALWAYS check the Inside! Cause you NEVER know what you may find! :) Installed in 1974.
