Floridian Elevators's video: Full Hotel Tour Review of The DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport in SeaTac WA

@Full Hotel Tour & Review of The DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport in SeaTac, WA
Filmed on January 7th, 2023. Welcome to the Beautiful Emerald City, Seattle, Washington! Aside from San Francisco & Boston, I'd argue Seattle is one of the most Beautiful Cities in this Country, and despite not being the largest city there is, it's definitely one of the most fun and gorgeous scenery wise I've been to and there's enough to do you can't easily do everything here in one week! For those of you who have been watching my channel for years, you would know that this is now my 3rd time visiting Seattle, and in the past I've stayed at the Courtyard Pioneer Square in Downtown, with 1 one night stay at another Marriott property near the Airport for my final night. Unlike past visits however, I visited Seattle on my own dime, and hence my budget for the trip is a lot smaller. For most of my time, I stayed at an Airbnb with @WestCoastElevators Downtown that we split, and for my final night, this is where I stayed. And out of all of the places I could've stayed at, this wasn't the cheapest option, however it was MUCH CHEAPER than what the nearby Marriott and regular Hilton properties were charging a night, and it was very much still a quality establishment and not a budget hotel, and while some of the nearby lower end Hilton & Best Western Hotels were a bit cheaper to stay at than here, being that those are 21+ hotels, and I wasn't 21 yet, my options weren't quite as broad at the time. So, I ended up staying at this hotel, which despite being a 4 Star Business Hotel in what is a VERY expensive city, only costed $135 a night, which considering what this hotel offers is a pretty good deal! Parking here a night isn't cheap, but thanks to the location of the hotel, you don't really need a car to stay here, it's located near both the Link Light Rail & several bus stops, complete with regular shuttle service to the Airport. This hotel was a VERY Nice & MASSIVE Hotel, definitely not your typical DoubleTree by Hilton, but IMO, in a good way! Yes, this hotel does have a Main Central Hotel Tower like a typical DoubleTree Hotel would, but there's way more to this place than that. This hotel has MULTIPLE Wings of Low Rise Rooms, in buildings with a Very Unique Hawaiian/Tropical theme to them, some with views of the Pool which is located in a Central Courtyard, some with Lakefront Views, and some with Parking Lot (lol) and Airport views. But that's not all! Just to give you an idea of how MASSIVE the place is, this place also has TWO Fitness Centers, a MASSIVE 2 Story Convention Center and Multiple Restaurants and Business Centers onsite! And the Rooms and Hallways in the Low Rise buildings here definitely have that Tropical vibe to them, and all in all, this Hotel offers a lot for the money, and this is definitely a very nice hotel in an excellent location. The only real cons I can think of for this place is the fact that this Hotel's decor does feel a bit stuck in the 90s/early 2000s, I'm not sure if that's intentional as part of the Hawaiian theme this place seem to be going for, but the rooms definitely feel a bit dated, and the furniture (at least in my room) is noticably a bit worn with the pillows, beds and several key items (the light fixtures!) in the room all showing signs of wear and that they're going to need to be replaced very very soon. Overall, I'm not someone who really cares to much about how modern/dated a Hotel is as long as everything is clean and well maintained, and for the most part, this Hotel is that, but there are definitely some things in the room that will need replacement very soon, which can all be done without totally gutting the rooms. The other complaint I have about this place is the VERY RUDE Security Guard onsite....When I rode the elevator that is located in the Convention Center, security spotted me on the camera, and threatened to KICK ME OUT of the Hotel WHEN I WAS LITERALLY A GUEST HERE and the elevator LITERALLY had Public Signage directing people to use it!!! I'll save this rant for another video, but that's really my biggest complaint about this place. Overall though, this is a pretty nice & beautiful hotel, with LOTS of amenities onsite that is in an excellent location that offers a lot for the money, and I would definitely recommend it if you're visiting the Seattle area. Just know, that this is not your typical DoubleTree property, and some like myself may see that as a good thing while others may prefer to stay somewhere that isn't quite as Massive. MY RATING: 4 out of 5 Stars
