Floridian Elevators's video: MUST WATCH ULTRA RARE WESTINGHOUSE SELECTOMATIC Elevators with POP OUT Buttons in Cleveland OH

Filmed on October 25th, 2023. Happy New Year Everyone! These elevators are COMPLETELY ORIGINAL Westinghouse Selectomatic Elevators with VERY RARE WHITE POP OUT Button Fixtures, which used to be VERY COMMON throughout the U.S., however, as far as we know, these are the LAST ONES OF THEIR KIND still in existence as of. today! These elevators were a big part of my reason for wanting to visit the Meme State, and I'm a little upset I didn't make it here sooner since up until recently there were like 2 or 3 other known Westinghouse Selectomatic systems with these fixtures in Cleveland, but at least I got to ride this one and OMG am I glad I did! I just assumed that I would NEVER get to ride one of these in my LIFETIME given the sheer rarity of these fixtures and the fact they are all but officially extinct, but here we are! These elevators are GORGEOUS & HISTORIC, these elevators were originally installed in 1920 when the building was built, however in either the 1950s or Early 1960s these elevators were replaced with what they are today and they've remained untouched since, and not only are they Original with the Pop Out fixtures, but these elevators are LITERALLY in MINT CONDITION and look like they were installed YESTERDAY! The cabs are Clean and look somewhat modern, the fixtures and indicators are very clean and are in Excellent Condition, the list goes on! They're also VERY FAST for 8 floors too at 600 FPM! Sadly, this building currently being renovated into Apartments on the upper floors and as part of the renovation, these elevators will be Modernized. It is very unfortunate given the fact that these elevators could truly be the last ones of their kind in the WHOLE WORLD but at least I got a video of these when I did! And if all goes well, hopefully parts will be saved... Oh yeah, and BTW for those wondering, this location will remain undisclosed, largely due to efforts to get parts from these elevators. ANY comments mentioning the location WILL be deleted!
