Floridian Elevators's video: NOT ONE but TWO AMAZING ANCIENT 1926 Gated Otis Traction Elevators in Downtown St Petersburg FL

Since today is MLK Day, I figured today would be a Great Day to Celebrate with another one of Florida's GREATEST Elevator Discoveries! Unlike the Touches however, I've actually known about (at least one of) the elevators in this building for MANY YEARS!!! But I never knew where they were located, UNTIL NOW!!! These elevators are located in one of St. Pete's OLDEST Apartment Buildings, and here we got NOT ONE but TWO FULLY ORIGINAL GATED Otis Elevators that are fully original from the building's construction in 1926! Another REAL GEM in Florida, I only know of 2 other Gated Automatic Otises located North of Miami and these serve more floors than those making this a TRULY AMAZING & RARE Discovery! Both elevators are in MINT CONDITION, despite the fact that they are nearly 100 years old, the Bronze COPs, call stations and Otis logos are SHINY to the point that they look like they were put in YESTERDAY! In addition to that, both elevators have Custom Painted Cabs that look absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and not only do these elevators look beautiful, but they run FLAWLESSLY and VERY SMOOTHLY too (aside from the leveling)! CLEARLY the owner of this building genuinely cares about and is proud of his/her elevators and building. The elevators are TINY to the point they feel like standing inside a closet, but considering how EPIC & HISTORIC they are, I DON'T CARE!!! Now, for those living in the building who use wheelchairs, the building's Central Elevator was modernized twice by Otis into a Black Button or Lexan and most recently with Series M2. I only rode this elevator down and didn't bother to get a separate video of it as it's pretty basic, but you can get a good idea of what it's like. And while I would've liked to see what that elevator was like prior to the mods, I'm OK with the one elevator being modded given that they didn't touch the rest! (Which let's be real, a mod on the other cars would be pointless, cause due to how tiny they are, there's no way to make them ADA compliant...) Simply put, these elevators are a TRUE WORK OF ART Both literally and figuratively and a REAL GEM and hopefully they continue to be preserved like they currently are for many years to come.
