Floridian Elevators's video: FUN 1968 Otis Bottom Drive Traction Elevators TBM at The Denny Building in Seattle WA

@FUN 1968 Otis Bottom Drive Traction Elevators (TBM) at The Denny Building in Seattle, WA
Filmed on January 3rd, 2023 with ‎@WestCoastElevators . These were some pretty fun & awesome elevators! Even though the COPs were replaced on the Main Elevators were Yellow Series M2 within the past 10-15, literally EVERYTHING else about these remains fully original from the Classic Indicators, Original Circle Touch Call Stations, the Lanterns with Beautiful Bells, etc! And as it turns out, these elevators are BOTTOM DRIVE, and the Noises from the Machines, the Generators and the Relay Logic Controllers are ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! And the way these elevators start and stop is a ton of fun too! These elevators are a PERFECT Example of why sometimes you just need to say "Forget the fixtures!" cause elevators aren't solely about fixtures! Although, if fixtures do matter to you, the Penthouse Elevator that goes from 11 to PH is a FULLY ORIGINAL Otis Black Button! It is a 2 speed AC Elevator so it is significantly more quiet than the Main Elevators, but it still has EPIC Relays as well as a Nice Sounding Motor AND It's in MINT CONDITION! All in all, just an absolutely amazing set of elevators in this building! Sadly though, according to the security guard I talked to, these elevators are going to be Modernized starting in March of 2023 (this month) by Otis, likely with Compass 360 since several other buildings owned by the company that owns this one have been getting Compass. I do definitely find this to be very unfortunate, as these elevators look very modern for their age, are absolutely beautiful and run PERFECTLY, but with that said, I'm definitely glad I filmed these when I did! As always, I hope you guys all enjoy the video, this one being of some AMAZING Bottom Drive Otis Elevators from the Late '60s that will sadly be no more very very soon. Installed in 1968. (Otis with Circle Touch/Heat Sensitive buttons on Main Elevators, Otis "Newer" Black Buttons on Penthouse Elevator.) Modernized in Circa Late 2000s or Early 2010s. (Otis Yellow Series M2 Replacement COPs on Main Elevators, Cabs Redone on all Elevators, everything else left original.) To be Fully Modernized in 2023. (Otis, likely with Compass 360, New Motors, New Controllers, New Lanterns, etc. Everything is being replaced except for maybe the cabs and HOPEFULLY the Penthouse Elevator isn't affected!)
