Floridian Elevators's video: Modernized Otis Generic KONE Traction Elevators at The Historic Benson Hotel in Portland OR

Filmed on December 29th, 2022. Here we have some Very Nice but almost completely locked off Elevators at the Beautiful Historic Benson Hotel in Portland. This Hotel was originally built in 1913, and these were obviously Manually Controlled originally, but these elevators have since been modernized 3 times, in 1959 by Otis into Autotronic Elevators, again in the 90s with I believe Adams or Monitor fixtures, and then in 2018 or 2019, these got modded again by KONE. This modernization is a pretty nice one, but compared to other elevators I saw in Portland, these were pretty boring. I may have appreciated these more had these not been almost fully locked out, but such is life... This hotel does have a bank of Original Manually Controlled Elevators adjacent to this bank that are used as the Service Elevators, but sadly I was not able to ride them. Hopefully somebody is able to make it on them eventually though as I am genuinely curious as to what they look like! As always, I hope you guys enjoy this quick but fair video of what are some very nice modded elevators that are unfortunately locked on most floors. Installed in 1913. (Manually Controlled, likely Otis.) Modernized: 1st Modernization: 1959 (Otis Autotronic with Square Touch/Heat Sensitive buttons, New Cabs, New Motors, New Doors, New Lanterns, New Controllers, etc. Basically a total replacement) 2nd Modernization: Circa 1990s or Early 2000s. (Unknown brand with Monitor or Adams fixtures with New Cabs and New Controllers. Motors and doors left original) 3rd Modernization: 2018-2019 (KONE Revolution with New Motors, New Controllers, Innovation Prestige fixtures, New Lanterns on most floors except lobby. Cabs and doors left as is.)
