CORONA VIRUS: Diet to Boost Immunity - What House Hold Items Can Help Increase Immunity During Covid 19 Outbreak
To build resistance against any disease we need to get our bodies more immune and eat that food that has antiviral properties. You will be surprised to know that such food items already exist in our homes and kitchen and for this we do not need to make any effort, just to identify that food and use it properly.
Let us see which are the things which we can eat to increase immunity.
AMLA
Amla has been given the status of AMRIT in Ayurveda, which is rich in vitamin C and minerals, it not only enhances your immunity, but it is also anti-oxidant, anti cancer, anti ageing, diabetes control, , Good for skin, eyes and every body part. The best way to eat Amla is to grate a fresh raw Amla in the morning and add a spoon of honey. Apart from this you can make pickle, chutney, jam and add it to salad.
CITRUS FRUITS
Apart from this, all the citrus fruits are good for increasing immunity of the body like orange, mousambi, tangerine, lemon
GARLIC
Garlic is full of properties which increases the immunity and ability of the body to fight against diseases. Garlic has a component of ALLICIN, which is the same component that gives a different aroma in garlic, it is effective in fighting any viral infection, and increasing the immunity of the body. If possible, you can eat garlic garlic with raw turmeric in the morning.
CINNAMON
Cinnamon not only gives a good fragrance, but it has a lot of anti-viral gun, it controls BP and protects your body from any viral infection, you can soak a piece of cinnamon in water in the evening and sub it. Drink water, or a little cinnamon powder can also be added to your tea or vegetable
MULETHI
Mulethi has been used since centuries in Ayurveda, it is antiviral, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti Tumor. It is very beneficial for cough and sore throat. If you have a cold, cough or sore throat, you can put a small piece of liquorice in the mouth or boil it in water and drink it or add it to your tea.
MUSHROOM
Mushroom, specially Shiitake mushroom is very effective which contains anti viral and anti bacterial components which not only increase your immunity but also work the inflammation in your body and your brain is also good for many. Mushroom can be cut into small pieces and eaten with Stir Fry in some Coconut Oil
YOGURT
It is a probiotic that works on shortness of breath and increases the ability to fight the virus.
Apart from this, honey, ginger, turmeric, narial, basil, aloe vera, fresh fruits, vegetables and dry fruit are also beneficial.
Try to avoid cold things like cold drinks, cold water, ice cream, processed and frozen foods.
