The U.S. Coast Guard has confirmed that debris discovered near the Titanic wreckage belongs to the OceanGate submersible. The debris was found around 8:55 a.m. ET, not far from the bow of the Titanic. While the search for the crew capsule continues, OceanGate sadly believes that the five passengers did not survive. Around noon, the Coast Guard located a "debris field" near the Titanic site. The passengers aboard the OceanGate submersible were Hamish Harding, a British businessman, Pakistani billionaire Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, French diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and OceanGate's CEO, Stockton Rush. Less than two hours after submerging, the submersible lost contact with its support ship, the Polar Prince. Search operations are underway, but there have been no signs of the submersible yet. The sub had enough oxygen supply for 96 hours.
