@Liberty Needs God To Succeed - Joy Will Set Us Free
I was just reading an article by a Christian pastor about the present state of Christianity in America. He didn't really understand why things had gotten so bad. Why so many people felt resentment against Christ. Really he is asking why so many people don't trust in God. And you know what? The answer is quite simple. God has been misrepresented by various human beings in history and what we have on this planet is many religious gods that have very little to do with the real God. I know you are thinking that I am just another person that is going to make up my own god and then spout out what this god's commands are but I am not going to do that. I believe that the idea of a god who has rules mandated for our lives is a misrepresentation of God. I believe that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead by the one true God. I don't believe anything anybody has to say about Jesus unless it agrees with the concept that God is always joyful and therefore never condemns. All of you "righteous" Christians don't like to hear such a thing because you have been deceived into condemnation. Of course the only reference points for Jesus are in the Bible and of all the references to Jesus are open to interpretation by anyone that reads the Bible. The present view of Christianity was formulated in the early Church by the Apostles. The belief that these men knew what God was about is hinged on their belief that the Ten Commandments of Moses were rules given to Moses by God. It is exactly that concept that brought about the brutal murder of Jesus of Nazareth. The Jewish people let Jesus die because they thought he was evil and not from God. The Christians left after Jesus died were frightened and clung to their Jewish roots. There is an event in the Acts of the Apostle that shows that God communicated his nature to Peter but Peter didn't understand it properly and thus the Church fell from God's guidance to an extension of the Jewish religion. Acts 10; 9 - 16 ... Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10He became hungry and wanted something to eat; and while it was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11He saw the heaven opened and something like a large sheet coming down, being lowered to the ground by its four corners. 12In it were all kinds of four-footed creatures and reptiles and birds of the air. 13Then he heard a voice saying, 'Get up, Peter; kill and eat.' 14But Peter said, 'By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is profane or unclean.' 15The voice said to him again, a second time, 'What God has made clean, you must not call profane.' 16This happened three times, and the thing was suddenly taken up to heaven. , Peter went up on the roof to pray. What does this passage mean? It means that God is telling Peter that he should not use the Law of Moses to condemn. God is saying that He has made man holy and does not call man profane. This is a very simple, logical interpretation of this scripture if you understand that God is always joyous.
