We stood in Olympic Village at 8:30 on March 31 to witness downtown Vancouver go dark for Earth Hour, except, the lights stayed on. Only Science World turned off its lights, and BC Place dimmed its dome light. Everyone else seemed oblivious. It's disappointing, and we can only hope that more Vancouverites pick up the slack next year and actually turn off their lights for an hour.
