@Jim McGrath - The Last Sorrow Demo Soundtrack (Full Album)
TRACKLIST: 1. Title Screen ~ And Then There Was None (0:00) 2. Dungeon I ~ Dank Depths of Desolation (3:12) 3. Exploration I ~ A Winter Wasteland (7:08) 4. Boss I ~ Tainted Trance (10:09) --- SOUNDTRACK NOTES: As you might know, I've been composing music on and off for little over a year at this stage, and I felt I'd gotten a fairly good grasp of the whole thing. So, when my brother (Dan McGrath, the creator/programmer of The Last Sorrow) walked into my room one night and asked me to compose a small soundtrack for the game's demo, I decided to give it a shot. It was my first time doing a commissioned soundtrack, and it had to be done within two or three days, so I tried to do as much as I could in that short span of time. I'd intended the demo soundtrack to have seven songs, but couldn't find the time to do them justice. The unused song ideas are as follows: -An alternate dungeon theme that would play after going out into the snow. Would have been a remix of the dungeon and exploration theme. -A victory theme that played after beating the Tainted Priest (the staff-wielding creature you encounter at the end of the demo) . Big and bombastic, like a song that you'd hear when you won a battle in a JRPG. -A final, military styled theme as you walked up to the cliff and to the end of the demo, where a triumphant reprisal of the title theme would burst in. Since the demo soundtrack's done, I'll be able to construct more themes for the final game, if Dan ever does get round to making it. I hope you enjoyed the soundtrack as much as I did making it. I'll probably put it up on Bandcamp at some point in the future, with those extra tracks added in for good measure, too. Until then, thanks for listening. --- Try out the game behind this soundtrack by Tooth & Claw Games: http://www.indiedb.com/games/the-last-sorrow Music composed and arranged by: Jim McGrath (FrDougal9000) Music mastered by: Dan McGrath (Tooth & Claw Games) Arranged with: Ableton Live 7
