Maipo Theater (Teatro Maipo) Buenos Aires, Argentina 1985 In the year 1985, Mr. Luis Amadori and Mr. Alberto Gonzales (who were at the time the owners and Producers of the MAIPO theater), invited us ( Manuel Arte and I ) to present our Production "EL MAIPO A LA KEIN" with a fabulous cast of Argentinean dancers and elaborate staging. "EL MAIPO A LA KEIN" made History receiving the total approval of critics from the most important newspapers in Buenos Aires and with full houses of the Argentinean public offering standing ovations night after night. Luis Amadori y Alberto Gonzales (entonces dueños y Productores del teatro MAIPO), nos invitaron (a Manuel Arte y a mí) a presentar nuestro Espectáculo "EL MAIPO A LA KEIN", con un fabuloso elenco de bailarines Argentinos y una elaborada puesta en escena. "EL MAIPO A LA KEIN" hizo Historia alcanzando la total aprobación de los Críticos de los periódicos más importantes Bonairences y la ovación de pié que noche a noche, a teatro lleno, le ofreció el público Argentino. FRANKIE KEIN Born in Cuba he exiled to the United States at a young age and began studies in Theater Arts. He debuted with Manuel Arte at the Versailles Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. "ONE OF A KIND", the longest running show in the history of Miami Beach, played five consecutive years at the Marco Polo Hotel. Irving and Kenneth Feld of Feld Entertainment, Inc. ("Walt Disney On Ice" and "The Greatest Show On Earth"), produced a multi million dollar Spectacular around their unique talents. The show, still named "ONE OF A KIND", played the Desert Inn in Las Vegas for one year and remains the greatest Show of it's type ever produced. He has traveled with his shows to many major cities all over the world. In Argentina Frankie performed for Liza Minnelli at a Gala held in her honor. His show "FOREVER LIZA," was a huge success in twenty two theaters in South Florida. International Critics consider Frankie a genius in his genre. -------------------------- MANUEL ARTE Born in Havana, Cuba, he graduated with honors from the Havana International Music Conservatory. Manuel won many piano competitions, leading him to study internationally and perform Concerts in Mexico, New York and Spain. He began a new career path upon his arrival in the United States, becoming an actor and graduating from the Miami Dade Community College in Theater Arts. Manuel, who also participates as an actor in Ballet productions and gives Poetry Recitals of his poems recalls his beginnings with Frankie Kein. One day, while studying Theater Arts, he was asked by Frankie to transform himself into Joel Grey's character in CABARET. "I can't... I'm too tall, I will make a fool of myself. 'Yes you can', Frankie assured me. He is so stubborn that he convinced me. Immediately this Art Form trapped me". As in the beginning, Manuel Arte, who was a major influence in the early years of Frankie's career, still shares the different concepts of the characters they portray to create a spectacular and unique show. Co-starring with Frankie Kein in their lavish productions gives him the opportunity to give audiences the artistic perfection of his impersonations.
