FuelTech USA's video: 2 252 WHP ProCharger Big-Block Chevy Shane Crowden

@2,252 WHP ProCharger Big-Block Chevy | Shane Crowden
One of most utilized tools at FuelTech USA has been its in-house Mainline Hub Dyno. The test equipment is not only great for showing a vehicles output but it is equally important to ensure all systems are ready to go. Recently Shane Crowden visited FuelTech to put his brand-new racecar through its paces before getting it on-track. Luckily, the Crowden team and FuelTech group quickly identified a fuel delivery problem prior to going wide-open throttle. We say luckily because had they put the Fox Mustang on track for some shakedown runs, the fuel supply issue would’ve caused catastrophic engine failure. With the pump repairs completed the FuelTech team, led by Luis de Leon, fired up the potent combination for a run through the gears on the hub dyno. The engine checks in at 540ci and is a conventional big-block Chevy with a Donovan engine block and a set of Dart Big Chief cylinder heads. A boost in power comes from a ProCharger F-3R-136 centrifugal supercharger. The computer showed a final output of 2,252 WHP as the Mustang ran trouble-free and is ready for on-track testing. Crowden is eying up Limited Drag Radial and expects bottom 4s from his Lyons Custom Motorsports built Mustang. FuelTech was tapped for a variety of products and it all starts with an FT600 ECU from the company’s award winning Power FT engine management system line-up. It features sequential injection and ignition, O2 closed loop, Data Logger, Delay Box, Traction Control, Boost Controller, PRO-Nitrous Controller, and much more. Those are also standard options on the FT550, FT550LITE, and FT450 engine management units. The all-inclusive feature list makes the FuelTech product line unique when compared to other systems. Further eliminating the need for additional add-ons is the LCD display that is standard on FT600, FT550, and FT450 control boxes. The display features a TFT touchscreen showing real-time data and allowing the user to make adjustments without a PC connection. This is an extremely valuable tuning option in motorsports when track and weather conditions can vary dramatically and without warning. Adding a FuelTech SwitchPanel offers CANbus connection, high quality and visible buttons, and the ability to expand the inputs for additional sensors or functions that feed back to the ECU. Exceptional customer service is a mantra of FuelTech as the highly experienced staff works with customers before and after the sale, that is why you’re seeing Like the video?
