So that we get to enjoy this masterpiece of the final season. Maybe even I did somewhat contribute to that. I mean the look of it, the smoothness and how the animation improved, I think we all got what we wanted. I am writing this after episode 11 and I must say that last 3 episodes (9, 10 & 11) were just one hell of an epic story within this entire story arc of the final chapter of the Clone Wars. The amazing final interactions and goodbyes of Ahsoka and Anakin in the 9th episode. The epic hunt and Maul's new approach in the 10th one. And then this weary, despondent music layer in episode 11 where we all knew what is about to happen. And when Rex finally starting to shoot, the music from Revenge of the Sith... Anyways.. to me, the clone war in Star Wars ends with the Order 66.. so now, it all just feels a bit surreal. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = About the video = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = I did not really achieve what I wanted to achieve with this which was something similar to the official trailer we got. Mainly due to the music I chose. But I think it actually fits the type of videos I made in the past. It has those epic parts which really made my skin shiver and goosebumps pop up. And that is what I always wanted to achieve so at the end I guess I accomplished the goal. In general, the issue I see is that I make something people already saw. I cannot make a trully trailer like experience because people already know the story. So while I try to make it less spoiler-y it still has some things there which definitely should not be in a real trailer. Where you can just show 2 innocent things and it will all hit at a bigger situation behind it. And I think that is the bane really, because I suck at those slow beginnings. Only for that Order 66 foreshadowing video and first clones video with Gregor in the beginning, I think it just sucks and I would most likely leave after like 5 seconds as here is nothing to hook me. I think this video suffers as well and it kicks in at about 0:40 I made this video right before episode 11 came out and while I did not hit the tone I wanted, I am happy with the result, that there is something left. I changed the ending because of that episode, used some things Rex said to give it a sense of urgency. But over all, I did not really want to include all the other bits. Like him saying that it is all the clones and that the entire grand army of the republic has been ordered to hunt down and destroy the Kedi knights. Or execute order 66 line. It did not fit with music I have chosen for this. And I would have to rewamp the entire second half to make it fit there somehow which would make it a completely different video from my perspective... so maybe in the next video. I accidently used the same voice over from the trailer as Maul talks about the death of the Jedi and the Republic, even though I saw the trailer like 3 times. But luckily it is there because the audio in the episode has a lot of background noice so it was hard to hear. So I am glad a clearer version was in the trailer. I do not want to do any changes to this and for that reason, I am not going to wait for the final episode to come out with some new scenes. I wanted to make a video pre-order 66. I was really thinking about this, when to put it out. But we have one more episode to go before it is done and The Clone Wars will forever be in the past. So to potentially hype up for the last episode.. here you go. Final note, just for the heck of it I rendered this uncompressed so the source file has 25,6 GB. Took 3 hours to upload so what you see in terms of imperfections is basically only YouTube compression. Thank for reading and may the Force be with you.
