Now that’s what I call a morning run - Well I set myself a little challenge today / it was time to test the legs and try to kick start some sort of fitness. I don’t know about you but my motivation has ebbed and flowed throughout this year. I’ve found it hard to get into a rhythm and thought .. right.. time to hit the great turret challenge. So I plotted a course the night before and packed a bag and a few snacks and hit the road. So glad I did, even though the climbs got the heart racing the views just continued to impress. Many deer and eagles were spotted (for a moment) and the grouse firing out the heather and gliding through the air as I ran by. Even spotted a mountain hare (who’s winter coat was being revealed) The climb up to Auchnafree was trackless and got the hamstrings playing an old tune. Soon enough the dam came back into view and a welcome seat with buster amongst the sweet autumn light. If I’ve said once I’ve said it a million times. Life’s always better outside!
