Some videos are too bright in Google Chrome? ☹️😦😟😩😒😞😕 Videos look washed out? Black areas are not black, but Grey? Or any other problem that might be related to hardware acceleration? (Any WebKit browser. Microsoft Edge, Safari, Chromium etc.) Bright, Washed Off Online Videos (Youtube etc). Fix, Solution, Tip, Tutorial / Guide. It could be due to several reasons like GPU / Display / Monitor Color Profile related stuff. Here is an easy Fix, that will work in many cases! (not all): All you have to do is Disable Hardware Acceleration in Google Chrome. Go to Settings. Advanced. Under System there is "Use hardware acceleration when available". Disable it. Then Relaunch. But in case if you need hardware acceleration, then you have to find another solution. Like using Firefox ....
