Gavin Newsom is at it again folks! Us Californians are very well aware that Gavin Newsom is a major gun grabber, but now he's trying to backdoor his agenda through. Gavin Newsom is pushing full marijuana legalization in the state of California. Which would be great, if not for a little federal regulation that makes it illegal for any current marijuana card holder to purchase a gun. This is because the DEA chose to keep marijuana classified as a schedule 1 substance, putting it amongst other horrible drugs such as heroin, cocaine, and crystal meth. What this means, is that as a result of cannabis remaining a schedule 1 substance, when filling out your paperwork before gun purchase, you have to answer a question asking whether or not you use or are addicted to a controlled substance or medical marijuana. Answering yes makes you ineligible to purchase a gun. Answering no falsely, makes you guilty of perjury. So if marijuana becomes fully recreationally legal, and more people begin using it, this means that less people will be able to buy guns. This isn't happening in just California either, marijuana legalization is happening all across the counrty, meaning less and less people will be eligible to purchase firearms.
