@GCU Foundation Run to Fight Children's Cancer Race Starter: Mia Bryant
A brain tumor and seemingly endless rounds of chemo haven’t slowed down seven-year-old Mia Bryant, the honorary race starter for the fifth installment of the GCU Foundation Run to Fight Children’s Cancer, which will be held on campus March 7. Bryant lost her sight and ability to walk and talk as a result of brain surgery but has battled back and now can see and loves to dance and sing. GCU Today shadowed Bryant and her mother Miriam during treatment at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and captured the second grader’s inspirational recovery.
